CIE works to secure for all children and young people their entitlement to the experiences of inclusion, participation and equity.
CIE (The Centre for Inclusion and Equity) was established in 2002 and works directly with public services, agencies, establishments and individuals who have specific responsibilities to meet this entitlement.
The principal aim of CIE is to enhance for children, young people and their families, the experience of inclusion and equity through working in partnership with a range of services, agencies and individuals. This includes public services such as education, schools, social work, health and other appropriate agencies.
We seek to achieve our aims through the provision of:
- training and professional development
- consultancy
- research
- the development and publication of resources.
